John McDowell

As Press Secretary, John works directly with Advocacy’s stakeholders including the media, small business owners and their representatives, elected officials and more.  Having lived in Washington, DC for almost 15 years, he has experience working on the Hill, in trade organizations, with think tanks, and for consulting organizations.  Having lived in both LA and Atlanta he is always on the lookout for good burritos and barbeque, both of which are hard to find in DC.

Rebecca Krafft

Rebecca is an information sponge. Whether it’s small business data or regulatory issues, Rebecca reports it all in Advocacy’s monthly print and enewsletter, The Small Business Advocate.  Rebecca has been part of the Advocacy team since December 2000, and prior to that she worked for the International Trade Administration. She knows how hard small business owners work, since she used to be one — she ran her own editing and writing business for many years before joining government. Rebecca’s kind of old-fashioned; she only watches broadcast TV, and she’s still mad that Fox cancelled Arrested Development.
